I was involved in recording sessions for the projects I am currently working on in November and December. As I handle all of the music for this title on my own, the entire process—from composition and arrangement to data preparation—is a solitary one. That is why it truly means so much to me to hear the music brought to life by such wonderful musicians during the recording sessions.
MUSICエンジンの皆様と / With the wonderful team from MUSIC Engine.
The string recording was performed by MUSIC Engine, whom I previously had the pleasure of working with at last year’s “Glory of Heracles” concert. Thank you so much once again. Mr. Kawai, the head of MUSIC Engine, always receives my comments with warmth and good humor, and that support has been incredibly reassuring for me.
Woodwinds were performed by Kei Sakamoto on flute, Takayuki Mogami on oboe, Hidehito Naka on clarinet, and Tetsuya Cho on bassoon.
With such a large number of pieces, I know it must have been an incredibly demanding session (I’m so sorry… truly, I’m very sorry…!). It was a continuous stream of superb performances, and the solos from each of them were so outstanding that I found myself quietly doing a little happy dance.
Brass were performed by Kenichi Tsujimoto on trumpet, Shintaro Takase on trombone, Tatsuo Nippashi and Rio Yamagishi on horn, and Yuya Tamura on tuba.
Thank you so much for staying with us until such a late hour. Every piece was wonderful—from the powerful, intense tracks to the gentle and tender ones—and I was completely captivated the entire time.
And our engineer was Akita. Thank you so much once again…!! I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Sekiya from Face Music, who coordinated these wonderful musicians as always. My sincere gratitude as well goes to Koori-kun, Azuma-kun, and Torigata-kun for their invaluable support throughout the session.
As the directors are overseas and unable to be on site, this recording was carried out with a very small staff. Even so, with everyone’s support, we can finally see the finish line ahead. I truly appreciate all of your help, and I look forward to the next session as well.
翌日はピアノ、ギター、ベースの録音でした! The following day, we recorded piano, guitar, and bass!
We are able to move this project forward thanks to the support of so many wonderful people. Thank you always for your warm and generous support.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who continues to encourage us so warmly. I look forward to your continued support in 2026 as well.
Here is a video from the orchestra concert of Nornis from NIJISANJI, featuring “Circle of Stars,” a song I wrote both the lyrics and music for. The beautiful voices of the two vocalists, together with full orchestra, band, and choir, create an absolutely stunning atmosphere. Please enjoy watching.
I’m currently working on a music project for an overseas production. This was my very first orchestral recording session featuring only my own compositions. I was nervous stepping in without my senior composers—but thanks to everyone’s support, the day went smoothly!
エンジニアの秋田さんと / With our recording engineer, Mr. Akita.MUSICエンジンの皆様と / With the wonderful team from MUSIC Engine.
The strings were performed by MUSIC ENGINE, whom I worked with on last year’s Glory of Heracles concert. I had many planning sessions with their director, Mr. Kawai, to prepare for this day. Huge thanks to Mr. Kawai and everyone at MUSIC ENGINE—so warm and kind!
木管セクションの皆様と / With the woodwind section.篠笛&フルートを吹いて頂いた坂本圭さんと With Kei Sakamoto, who played shinobue and flute.
Sakamoto-san performed the recorder solo in “Lysalia Region” (XC2: Torna), and Araki-san the oboe solo in “Satorl Marsh (Night)” (XC:DE). I was so moved by Naka-san and Ishikawa-san’s warm tones—I’ve become a fan!
Thank you so much for the fantastic performance! Brass orchestration is always a challenge for me, but I learned so much through this session. I truly appreciate it!
This project is a completely new challenge for me, and since I’m working with a team I’m collaborating with for the first time, every day has been truly refreshing and inspiring. I can’t wait to share more when the time comes!
Nornis 3rd Anniversary Planetarium Program was held!
The 3rd Anniversary Planetarium Program of Nornis, a unit from NIJISANJI, was screened for a limited time at Konica Minolta Planetarium Manten in Ikebukuro.
As part of the special 3rd anniversary collaboration goods, a beautiful herbal tea named “Circle of Stars,” which shares the same title as the song I provided, was released. It has a stunning translucent blue color, truly a wonderful herbal tea.
It’s a perfect collaboration to enjoy together with the starry sky.
We had our recording session today! Got some great takes—thank you so much!
